The database, extending back to 1975, currently has in excess of 200,000 entries. To track down a company pension from a private firm that may have changed its name, been taken over or gone out of business, make inquiry to: Occupational Pensions
Regulatory Authority Search requests should include the name and address of the employer, the type of pension scheme you belonged to (i.e. occupational, personal, group personal), dates of employment, and copies of any relevant scheme documents in your possession. For additional information visit: http://www.thepensionsregulator.gov.uk or phone: 0191 225 6393. If a search of the Registry fails to produce the desired result, visit the National Association of Pension Funds web site at: http://www.napf.co.uk phone the Occupational Pensions Advisory Service at: 0171 233 8080; or write: Occupational Pensions
Advisory Service Note the the Department of Social Security provides a "Letter Forwarding Service" to track down missing pension beneficiaries, but is successful in only 50% of its attempts. |
