insured pension schemes must, by law, be registered with
the Occupational Pensions Regulatory Authority. The
database, extending back to 1975, currently has in excess
of 200,000 entries. To track down a company pension from
a private firm that may have changed its name, been taken
over or gone out of business, make inquiry to:

Search requests should
include the name and address of the employer, the type of
pension scheme you belonged to (i.e. occupational,
personal, group personal), dates of employment, and
copies of any relevant scheme documents in your
