Australian Capital Territory | New South Wales | Northern Territories | Queensland | South Australia | Tasmania | Victoria | Western Australia The Unclaimed Moneys Act 1891 establishes a general dormancy period of six years. On the 1 January each year, companies prepare a register including all unclaimed accounts worth more than $10. After the 8th day of January, the register is open for public inspection during business hours, for a payment not to exceed twenty cents. Companies also must publish account information in the South Australian Government Gazette annually during the month of January.
